Gratitude at Work

“Gratitude for the present moment and the fullness
of life now is the true prosperity.” – Eckhart Tolle

The holiday season is officially upon us and I find myself filled with gratitude. Gratitude for health, for family, for friends, and for my colleagues. And this month marks the end of an incredible chapter for the Inclusion Nation team. Our beloved, Kim Holmes, is off to new adventures as an independent consultant. For the past three and a half years Kim has been a driving force as a diversity consultant with Inclusion Nation. This company would not be what it is without all the hard work, expertise, and joy Kim brought with her every single day! Thank you Kim, we are eternally grateful and you will be missed. Please reach out to Kim at kim@kimbholmes.com - I know she'd love to hear from all of you.

Appreciation. Recognition. Gratitude.
Why do they matter?

Expressing gratitude and celebrating the achievements of your teammates can be a powerful tool for improving workplace culture, boosting employee morale, and increasing productivity. When you take the time to recognize and appreciate your colleagues successes, it shows that you value their contributions and are invested in their growth and development.

Gratitude can also have a positive impact on mental health, and has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. When we take the time to reflect on the things we are grateful for, we can shift our focus away from negative thoughts and emotions, and cultivate a more positive outlook on work and life.

Remember, expressing gratitude, recognition or appreciation doesn't have to be complicated or time-consuming. Small gestures can go a long way in showing your teammates that you value and appreciate them.

Do the work

This week, I commit to focusing on the positive, expressing appreciation and gratitude, and finding ways to give back to my coworkers.
